We are delighted to announce that Reuben Gilbert has joined our growing team at Eden NE as a Consultant from 1st April 2024. Reuben graduated with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester in the summer of 2023. He joined Eden NE after completing some independent travel to the Far East and Australia following graduation.

Immediately after joining Eden NE, Reuben began contributing to projects, the first of which was based around the optimisation of future storage systems, identifying areas where existing and new build stores can be improved. He is also a part of Eden NE's project team for a new project involving MOX fuel fabrication and transport of radioactive materials. Additionally, Reuben has embarked on targeted technical and professional training, including an introduction to GoldSim, which is a proprietary software package used for environmental and engineering risk analysis, used for radioactive waste management.

Reuben's interest in the nuclear sector started when he completed a final year optional module in the nuclear fuel cycle, alongside other modules including Sustainable Resources and Processing and Sustainable Energy Systems.

Reuben lives in Cumbria and is based in our Penrith Office. His hobbies include playing football and a multitude of sports and fitness activities.
